If You Give a Writer a Gift

Well, first things first…

I believe holiday greetings are in order. My mom was working today (bummer) but I have to remember to be grateful that she has the job that she has. I have many things to be grateful for. This year has truly been full of blessings.

If I may digress…

journal-on-laptop

I got the coolest gift ever (if you’re a writer that is)! My mom got me a journal (for lack of a batter term). I have many journals and notebooks, but this one gives me something to think and write about. The mini prompts inside this journal are really an ode to the mundane, but I love the brilliant simplicity they bring. If you want to know more about me, just come back to my blog. I’m sure I’ll be sharing a prompt or two.

Back on topic…

I wish many blessings to come for anyone who reads this. Share this prayer of thanks with family and friends.

Father God,

I come to You as humble as I know how to give You thanks. I thank You for my family, and I thank You for another year. We are more than grateful that You have blessed us with the means to have a great holiday.

Our hearts go out to those who may not have what we have. We pray that You reveal Yourself, to them in trouble. We pray that through Your glorious riches that You strengthen them with the power of Your Spirit.

We pray that we, too, will continue to be filled with Your spirit. For Your spirit is love, joy, peace, kindness and goodness. We thank you for being our provider.

In Jesus’ Name

Amen.
